Was bored so i perused really REALLY! Old scenes. I found this one laying around. It was a failed attempt 2 years ago when my computer was utter shit.

The idea was a benchmark in just how effective reflections, lighting, shading, caustics can be in a single image with only 4 lights. the result is very much to my liking after i cleaned the scene up a bit!

granted....2 years old. HAHAHA who knows i might find something else and dig it out of the grave that is my digital packrat collection of kerkythea files!

Also before you think "Ohh he used greeble!" I did no such thing! I hand extruded everything you see. I made all the cubes and aligned them by hand mweehehheheh

I'm being a bit incoherent and jumping to conclusions, lol. First I thought you used a biased method because the result is so noiseless.
Then, while I don't know what post processing you applied, I imaged it would take much more passes to get such a clean result.
Usually takes me many more even with more lit scenes.
I'm am fully aware that especially fog increases rendertime but I don't think the hardware changes the number of passes you need,
just the time needed. :)
